SAP and Oracle are considered as leading ERP software developers. They have been dominating the market for past few decades. On the other hand, Microsoft Dynamics is yet catching up with the popularity of ERP systems. SAP and Oracle are more useful for big organizations that face millions of data interactions on daily basis, whereas Microsoft Dynamics is usually preferred by small and middle-sized organizations.

A large number of organizations have benefitted from SAP and Oracle, due to which both of them are recognized internationally for aiding growth of business. The cost and time for implementation of SAP and Oracle are quite high, which is not suitable for small or middle-sized organizations.

The ERP features of SAP and Oracle are quite complex as compared to features of Microsoft Dynamics. The reason for complexity of features is that, they are designed to meet a number of business requirements. Also, they can provide strong technical support, and better scalability. The prime reason for both these ERP providers to be popular amongst big organizations is that, they provide an in depth integration of the data with the desired flexibility. Although, better flexibility and improved work efficiency could often cause certain level of uncertainty.

Oracle could provide better integration of data based on advance software systems, which could cause organizations to hire higher level of experts of ERP to deal with the advanced features. Nevertheless, the ERP software developed by SAP consists of core features that maintain a unidirectional path. However, the cost of implementation of both SAP and Oracle makes it suitable only for big organizations whose business units are located in different parts of world. And, Microsoft Dynamics is preferred by small and medium-sized companies, because it is cost effective and, it takes lesser time for implementation.

SAP has gained reputation by providing extremely flexible feature. It also provides training of SAP constructed ERP software to the buyers. However, the ERP structure of SAP is very rigid, due to which organizations have to orient their processes according to the software, which is perhaps biggest disadvantage of SAP ERP system. Besides, Oracle is more famous for strong database system. It is also flexible for integration of data with other software models. But, Oracle ERP system’s higher level of customization often causes problem for the organization, since it becomes difficult for them to follow core processes. Microsoft Dynamics have gain popularity for better scalability; and customization facilities of Microsoft Dynamics ERP system are free from complexities.

In conclusion, the implementation of SAP and Oracle ERP system involve huge cost and take long time, but they both are tolerant of high risk. Implementation of Microsoft Dynamics ERP system is cost-effective and takes lesser time to implement, but it is less tolerant to risks. From time to time, implementation of Microsoft Dynamics is found to be taking more time than other two. Nevertheless, all three ERP systems viz SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamics, can efficiently handle international system requirements and, they are specifically designed to offer better scalability. There are some advantages and disadvantage of all three systems, so buyers can choose any of them according to their needs.
